About the artists:

Massimo Vitali was born in Como, Italy in 1944. Vitali studied photography in London. He first worked as a photojournalist in the 1970s and then as a movie camera operator. His recent work is considered fine art photography. Vitali works from a podium (four or five meters high) and uses large-format film cameras to capture high-resolution details of everyday scenes (such as people at the beach) over a broad expanse.

James Yeh was born in 1982, in Anderson, South Carolina. He is a founding editor of Gigantic and indie books editor at the Faster Times. His fiction appears or is forthcoming in PEN America, elimae, the anthology 30 Under 30 (Starcherone Books, 2011), and elsewhere. He lives in Brooklyn and bikes pretty much everywhere. His blog is Yellow Redneck Blues.
