2.10 featuring Flora Hanitijo and Dan Chaon

About the artists:

Originally from a peninsula called Macau, Flora Hanitijo spent her adolescence in Montreal, Canada. After university and years of wandering, she moved to New York City. In 2009, she was named by PDN as one of 30 photographers to watch for in 2009. Flora's work has appeared in W, I-D, Spex, Jalouse, Nylon, Tokion, BlackBook and other publications in Europe and Asia.

She has worked with artists from Domino Records and is also a frequent collaborator with UK's Toast Press, photographing musicians in both the UK and the States. Flora is currently spending her time between New York and London.

Dan Chaon is an American author. His short story collection, Among the Missing (2001), was a finalist for a National Book Award. Chaon's short stories have won the Pushcart Prize and the O. Henry Award and have been included in the Best American Short Stories of 1996 and 2003. He was awarded the 2006 Academy Award in Literature from The American Academy of Arts and Letters.

His new novel, Await Your Reply, was published in August 2009 and was called one of the 10 best books of 2009 by Publishers Weekly. Chaon presently teaches creative writing at Oberlin College.
